DIY KID’S PHOTO CHRISTMAS CARDS
What, it’s time for Christmas cards already? Where does the time go?
If your Christmas list contains 50+ people you might feel the pull towards generic holiday cards to save time (and money), but with a few supplies you can make amazing, hand-crafted Christmas cards and includes some of your favourite kid’s photos in them. You can even let your kids help for a fun, rainy (or snowy) afternoon craft. So, here are some ideas:
Kid’s Photo Christmas Card
This craft merely involves taking a Christmas-themed photo and using it as your Christmas card. However, put some effort into it! Use props, make it silly or corny, let your kids select their own outfits, etc. You can choose one photo, print a collection of photos (so not everyone gets the same card), or even create a photo collage using Picasa or online programs. If you’re feeling especially creative you can add a decorative border on your computer, or make one out of craft paper.
Photo-Lined Envelopes
Sending letters or already have Christmas cards? Include a fun photo of your kids or family by creating photo-lined envelopes. It’s easy, all you need is your photo printed on light photo paper, some glue, scissors, and envelopes!
Instagram Christmas Cards
Have some Instagram images that you just love, or just like the “look” of retro-themed photos? Now you can make use of them by turning them into personalized Instagram Christmas cards for your friends and loved ones. All you need is prints of your photos and some standard craft supplies and voila!
